KeeFox 0.8.21 released

You can now download version 0.8.21 from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/keefox/

This is a required upgrade for all users. You must upgrade before the end of June 2011 or KeeFox will stop working. Firefox should automatically prompt you to install a new version soon and future versions of KeeFox will keep up to date automatically through the official Firefox add-ons site.

Apart from the switch to an automatic update system, there are a few other minor improvements too. Full details are available in the changelog as usual: http://keefox.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/keefox/trunk/Firefox%20addon/CHANGELOG.txt

After update from .20 to .21 version http-auth password saving seems to be broken on my firefox. Firefox 5.0 beta (.20 worked fine with it).
After sumbit form panel with actions (save, save to a group, not now, never for this site) appeared, but clicking on buttons doing nothing.

Any way to keep KeePass from un-minimizing when entering the master key? With .20 KeePass would stay minimized to the system tray (where I want it to stay) after entering the master key; now the main window is popped up when entering the password which is a major annoyance.

      Hi,

      What O/S are you using?

KeePass has never behaved how I want it to when launched from KeeFox so I’m trying to improve it.

My first priority is finding a reliable and quick way to allow people to enter their master passwords and then after that I’ll try to get minimising to the tray sorted out. The first part is very difficult so I don’t know how much longer it will take but this area is my top priority at the moment.

Could I request a small mod to the way the logins are presented in the drop-down list from the Logins icon, please?

Currently it’s just a long vertical list which has to be scrolled down to reach the end.

It would be so much better if all the logins (or at least one pageful at a time) were displayed in columns across the page, the same as in Roboform.

With only a small number of logins it isn’t an issue, but when you’ve got hundreds it is!

    Many thanks,
    Mike

    Me gustaría tenerlo en Español.
    ¿Es esto posible?

      Translations will be added soon.

Someone will need to write the translation for each language though.

I’ll post a news article with more information about this within the next few weeks.

      Thanks,
      Chris

After upgrading to 0.8.21 KeeFox constantly requests to “Load my password database” although it is loaded and clicking the button brings up KeePass. I use KeePass 2.14, tried with 2.15, same effects. Have tried removing the plugin and reinstalling KeeFox (via FireFox), re-installing KeePass, all possible combinations to the same effect. On two different computers I get the same problem (one with Win 7 32-bit FireFox 4.x, another Win 7 64-bit FireFox 5). KeeFox is just broken.

Can you please change the sort order so that the KeeFox “Logins” drop-down menu displays entries the same order as the KeePass database? KeePass gives you the ability to re-arrange entries. KeeFox appears to place them in alpha order.

    Hey Luckyrat,

Any chance of a linux based plugin? Would love that!
